John Metchie III may not always show his strength outside of blocking the race, but this time he called him.

As option Number 1 in 2021, Metchie says that he is just trying to keep the course. “I think I just have to keep being myself and try to be the best version of myself-in terms of competition, concentration, performance and hard work.”
He certainly has a compelling case with his game this season that he deserves the opportunity. Metchie is averaging 17.8 yards per reception, and is among the leaders of College football by this metric to his catch volume.
